If you missed one of the most talked-about DJ moments of the year, you’ve just been handed a second chance - Fred again... and Thomas Bangalter’s rare B2B set is now available to stream, only on Apple Music.
Recorded live at Alexandra Palace on February 27th during Fred’s USB002 tour, the set sees the UK producer go back-to-back with the Daft Punk legend for a one-off collaboration that marks only the second DJ set he’s released outside of Daft Punk. And it’s a proper deep dive, blending their worlds across house, techno, hip-hop and beyond, packed with edits, IDs and iconic cuts.
You can stream Fred again... and Thomas Bangalter’s Alexandra Palace set now on Apple Music
Across the mix, you’ll hear everything from Daft Punk staples like One More Time, Digital Love, and Around the World, to Fred again.. favourites including Marea (We’ve Lost Dancing) and Turn On The Lights again.., alongside curveballs from Prince, Usher, Joy Orbison and Caribou.
Fred shared his thoughts on the set after the show, saying: “I usually have a rule that I don’t watch anything back… I just do the thing and then try to stay present and just sorta keep working on writing music. But, yeah, with this, I justtttt. Can’t. Stop.
“Probably because a lot of it isn’t my music, so it’s not subject to my usual very critical inner voice about stuff. Instead, I’m just a fan more proud of a sort of human moment than anything else.”
The result is exactly that - a rare, unfiltered snapshot of two generations of electronic music colliding in real time, now captured for fans (and we're sure Fred too) to revisit properly.
