Il Molino di Sotto

Our Mill House is a rustic stone building sitting in a peaceful valley beside the river Lanzo - five miles from the town of Paganico and twenty-two miles south of Siena.

Florence is an accessible day-trip.

The area is rich in culture, archaeology, flora and fauna and includes the varied landscapes of Siena, the Val D'Orcia and Monte Amiata. There are many thermal spas as well as the Maremma coastline which is approximately forty-five
minutes away.

The half mile track leading to the Mill runs alongside the river, with the owners resident in an adjacent house.
As well as being a tranquil retreat, the location is ideal for the adventurous.
The Mill is an ideal base for walking, climbing and mountain biking.

Accommodation in Tuscany

The Mill House sleeps four with two sharing each room as twin or double. Should your party be larger, an additional two can be accommodated via a sofa bed in the living room.

There is an open plan living room/kitchen. This is equipped for six people and can be used to prepare drinks, snacks and meals.

With French doors to the front and the back of the house, this airy room is a wonderful place to sit out the heat of the day and for those taking part in an Art Holiday, a good place if you want an indoor studio.

The Mill has several private terraces as well as some beautiful outdoor spaces.

The property contains a shower room and separate toilet.

Rob Hasbury is a qualified Mountain Leader and has a wealth of local knowledge gathered over the past fifteen years and can advise on a selection of routes, trips and expeditions. These can be tailored to individual requirements.

Full guided trips are available or if you wish, just local information.

Both properties are ecological with the electricity gained from solar panels.

Mountain bikes can be rented locally
